Vlad And The Impalers – Serfs Up!: Vinyl, 7″, Single
GHOUL A GO-GO is an American TV-show based on the American tradition of the Horror Host of the 1950s and 60s á la Vampira and Zacherle. The show itself started in 2000 and ever since has not only become a cult TV-show including a lot of musical gems (such as star appearances by HASIL ADKINS or The 5678’s), but the show also does many live-shows, hosting horror conventions, burlesque-shows and lots more.
This 7” features two brilliant songs recorded by VLAD AND THE IMPALERS – Mister Vlad Tsepis being one of the spooky hosts of the show and The Impalers, who might look and sound suspiciously familiar when you compare them to our favourite German 60s-Garage-heroes THE SATELLITERS. You will dig the surfy sounds of the ghost guitars on the A-side “Serfs up” with spooky hammond organ, ghoulish sounds and creepy laughs by Mister Vlad Tsepis himself!
The B-side is a sing-and-dance-along-tune featuring noises by the creepy Creighton and backing vocals by the Japanese girl-trio THE GO-DEVILS!
The fabulous cover artwork is made by Stephen Blickenstaff(, who famously did the CRAMPS cover artwork for “Bad Music For Bad People”) – to make sure this single not only sounds great but also looks it!
This single is an absolute must-have for anyone, who likes chilling 60s-horror-films and -shows, all fans of the GHOUL A GO-GO and of course anyone who likes some good 60s-dance-tunes!
