Put down your eyeliner! London glam punks, The DeRellas, are back and ready to unleash their latest masterpiece, Trust Me This is Going to Hurt.

Funded by a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign, the new album has a darker edge than 2021’s Something’s Got to Give. Trust Me This is Going to Hurt is a leopard-print lounge of fishnets and fag ends, heartaches, and hangovers. It’s a glam-punk goldmine somewhere between David Lynch’s Blue Velvet and the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a splatter of Alice Cooper and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Recorded at Pat Collier’s iconic Perry Vale Studios, Trust Me This is Going to Hurt captures the grit and the glamour of the band’s punk rock attitude and the hedonism of their live performances.

So, mark your calendars, set those reminders, and get ready for the first taste of what’s to come. The DeRellas play a launch gig for the album at The Water Rats in Kings Cross on Thursday 10 April with friends Desperate Measures and Glitter Kick, followed by dates across the UK and Europe, including an appearance at Rebellion Festival in August.
